How do you disable the lock on a car dvd player to play when it is in Drive?

My friend has an 07 infiniti g35 sedan with the GPS/DVD system and it will play dvd's but only when the vehicle is in park. How do you get it to play while the vehicle is in Drive?

1. bypass the drive sensor...it's probably a wire running from the stereo to the shifter...
2. That sounds really dangerous.....let me know when he will be on the road so I can avoid driving anywhere near him....I don't want to get run into because he can't keep his eyes on the road.
3. There's a wire that is on the back of the dvd player that needs to be grounded to something metal in the dashboard or the black wire on the radio. Its the wire that is for Safety.
4. Why would you want to disable a safety device. It is illegal to drive with a DVD player on in the front seat in most locations. You will receive a careless driving ticket. A careless driving ticket will send your insurance rates through the roof. Insurance most likely will not cover you if you crash, even if the DVD player is off at the time, it would be up to you to prove it. You would get a careless driving ticket on top of any other tickets if you are in an accident. You could get sued big time because you would automatically be at fault in an accident! Is watching DVD's this important!
