My Car DVD Player have some problem, how to do it?

I bought a car dvd player, but now i can't see the video, what's the problem? How to deal with it?

2. is it a dvd with built in screen or has it a seperate screen. if its built in the screen sometimes runs off its own fuse which may have blown. if its a seperate screeen check all you leads are connected properly (and fuses)

I recently returned a"flip out" screen DVD player to the store because when I pulled it out of the box it was so heavy that in time it would just brake my dash board and when I tested the one at the store with a movie it got hot pretty damn quick, MY POINT, your unit probably got so hot that it fried the LCD ( liquid crystal display) or a fuse, OR, who hooked it up? Maybe you bought a warranty with it. or what kind of a vehicle is it, because I recently worked on a Toyota Corolla and the power wires were set up different from other vehicles I have dealt with but with experience I figured it out.
