- No i think you can only burn on DVD.
- You have to use DVDRs. Computers are the only ones that will read CDs with that sort of stuff on it.
- You can buy software to burn DVD's to CD's. I'm pretty sure those will play in your DVD player. Here is a list of software: http://dvd-copy-software-review.toptenreviews.com/?ttreng=2&ttrkey=burn+dvd+on+cd&OVRAW=burn%2520dvd%2520to%2520cd&OVKEY=burn%2520dvd%2520on%2520cd&OVMTC=standard
- No Mr. you can't burn whole film into a single CD. if it's a DVD then it would not matter. i think that wouldn't work.
- It really doesnt matter...much. It depends on the file format you intend to be using. If you decide on burning "AVI" files to the media, you can use either DVDs or CDs for playing back the movie. But if you have a DVD movie you can NOT use the DVD files on a CD...unless you convert the DVD movie to AVI or MPEG...which takes quite some time - like 3 hrs - depending on your computer. I would suggest you create some AVI files and use the DVD for storage (as a data DVD) since you can put about 6 CDs of AVI movies on one DVD. Most players can read the data DVD like they can read the CD and will play back the AVI files from DVD as well as from CD. Check if your player supports playback of AVI...if not, then dont buy it. It most likely wont be able to play WMV (windows media video) either, and you will find yourself converting all files to VCD, which is a waste of time.
- yes you can Don't listen to anyone that says you can't. I have PERSONALLY done it before. Burning video onto a CD would make it what's called a VCD (Video Compact Disc) The thing is that CD's don't hold as much info as a DVD, so to put a whole movie onto CD, you'd probably need to use 2 or more CD's. You'd also need the right kind of burner software if you only have a CD burner (and NOT a DVD burner), since most are designed to only burn music and documents onto CD
