What is the best in dash car dvd/navigation unit i can purchase?

3. Your going to have to consider what's best for YOU. That's where going into a local car audio shop will help you out. They will know how to qualify your needs so you get what you REALLY want - not just want the store wants to sell you. Personally I've installed Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, Clarion and offshore brands of dvd/navigation units into plenty of vehicles. I found the Pioneers are best for the NAV portion because of the extensiveness, and the Alpine for the DVD portion because of the clarity/contrast/quality. It really depends what you really want and how much your willing to spend.
