speedometer readings thereafter will increase decrease. remain the same.

Public Comments

  1. They will read slower than you are really going.
  2. Decrease
  3. Decrease. Your odometer (milage) readings will also read shorter than the actual milage on the car and the ratio of the drive train will be "longer," meaning that your car does not gear down quite as low as it used to. This may or may not be an advantage and may be advantageous when driving on ice, but the car will labor more when climbing hills and when heavily loaded.
  4. Your speedometer will show that you are going slower that you really are. Your odometer will show that you have travelled a shorter distance than you really have travelled. AND if a policeman stops you he will impound the car and ticket you. It is illegal to change the wheel size, either way, unless you have both the speedometer and odometer recalibrated.
  5. ok sorry joie, but reckless you don't know what you are talking about, if a cop could impound your car for different wheels i don't think aftermarket rims would have much of a market Decrease
