How long should you go before replacing the tires on a brand new car?

- Depends on the tire and how often you have them rotated. Most tires will last at least 30k miles.
- Usually, place a penny in the tread and if it doesn't reach the head...replace them.
- If you take care of them you will get 40-60 thousand miles. I just replaced mine on a Tundra truck at 63000. Keep the air pressure correct, drive around corners on ALL FOUR wheels, not just two, don't wait until the last minute to brake for a light, and they will serve you well.
- i wish it were longer but it seems the factory tires go in2-4 yrs about 30,000 mi.... what a rip off ,no ?
- A tire store will tell you how much tread you have left for free. Just ask a professional. :)
