What format do i download you tube videos in to play on my ipod and then through my dvd car player?

I have a car dvd player that i can play my 60gb ipod through but what format do i download the music dvds i get off you tube in to put on my ipod so then my car dvd player will understand and play them.

1. this can help you... use 'zillatube' It will help you to download videos from youtube to your computer, and also help you put them on your iTunes and iPod. This is the fastest (and easiest) way. 1. download the video (it will automatically be saved to your PC) 2. convert the video to mp4 format (or mp3) 3. drag the mp4/mp3 into iTunes, then sync with your ipod. 2. Normally When You Download Youtube Videos They Are .flv, You can easily convert them at websites like www.zamzar.com or such to formats like .mp4 which I believe works on iPods...
3. When you download a movie from youtube it comes as a FLV, that is the format they use and it isn't a format that any video devices support, at least from what i found. Once you download it you will have to convert it to a format that your ipod will read and play with no problem. I would recommend going to http://www.koyotesoft.com to download a free video converter. That way you can convert the video and add it to your ipod with no problem.

10. you may have to use one video converter to convert the youtube flv to mp4 for your ipod, to play on your dvd player, you have to try dvd burner to burn on a new disk.
