How much does it cost to replace 2 car tires?

I have a 2001 Audi A4 and ran over a huge rock while taking a sharp turn and blew both of my right tires. Any idea how much this will cost to replace? Is it possible to do myself? Whats the best way to save money on this?

  1. There is a machine they use to get the rim off the tire...kinda need it. The cheapest tires will probably be at a discount tire. Minimum it will be about a total of $290. It all depends on the tire size and all that. If you need the tires now, go to discount tires. If you can wait a day you need to do some research. Pep boys sometimes has good tire deals. You will need to check with your local tire companies to see the discounts though. Best of Luck!
  2. if you get them already beaded on a rim you can do it, but its takes a machine or some good tire bars to get the tire on the rim, your looking about 35$ for a used tire and about 20-35 dollars to have a shop install it
  3. Sometimes used tire in good condition can be bought at scrapyard at below half new tire price
  4. You can get them for about $180.00. That is what i paid for two at a co-op store
  5. easy why not look in phone book and call three places and decide which one is closer to you jack up car put on spare let down jack up oither end remove tire and get someone to take you to it some where a round 60 bucks well be a cheap one
  6. there is not way to do it your self, you need a special tools to take the old tire of the wheel and install the new one and plus you need to get the tires balanced because if not it would cause vibration in the front, installing new tires and balancing is only $11.99 at pepboys when you buy the tires there, for prices check out pepboys.com
