i own a olds alero and need to replace my tires.My tires that are on the car now are 225/50/16 .?

I have located some used tires but the size is 225/55/16.Will these tires fit my rims?And also is there a website to tell you this information?

1. yes they will fit, but make sure you change all 4 or if you just do 2 make sure they're both on the front or back 225 is the width of the tire in mm 55 is the % of the sidewall opposed to the tread, so the new tires will have a barely noticeable bigger sidewall 16 is the rim=16"
